Buggy, Crashing, Slow, A lot of info but unusable

I am preparing a long trip aross europe but the software is not cooperating. Crashes when i add waypoints to trips, very slow performance on a latest MBP Retina with tons of RAM, to the point where i decided to not use it and go back to maps and pen-and-pencil trip planning.

Garmin, you can do better than that… this is not worthy of Garmin or OSX.
